Una vez más la Plazuela República será el escenario del cómputo final en donde darán a conocer a los primeros reyes del Carnaval 2008.
El evento que se realizará este 11 de enero a las 18:00 horas y los resultados dependerán de los votos (con valor de un peso cada uno) que acumulen los candidatos.
Debido a que Gregorio Romero Calderón es el único candidato a Rey de la Alegría, sólo necesitará depositar la cantidad que le hace falta para completar los 40 mil pesos que debe de aportar como mínimo. Mientras que las coronas de la Reina Infantil y de la Poesía se reservarán para quienes reúnan el mayor dinero, rebasando los 50 mil pesos que requiere la contienda. La competencia por dichos títulos será entre Arantza Marcela Tirado González y Fernanda Lizbeth Velazco Zataráin.
Culminado el cómputo, en presencia de los representantes de cada comité y de un notario público, se levantará un acta testimonial y se anunciarán los resultados.
Esa tarde estará llena de alegría propiciada por los fieles carnestolendos que se den cita para apoyar a sus candidatos y el grupo musical que amenizará la fiesta. Se conjugarán la simpatía, la inocencia y la tradición engalanada por la belleza de las 12 aspirantes a Reina del Carnaval y los Juegos Florales.

The final vote tally

This January 11th the first royalty of Carnival will be announced

Once again the Plaza Republica will be the scene of the final vote tally for deciding the first royalty of the 2008 Carnival. The event will be held this January 11th at 18:00. The results will depend on the votes (with a value of a peso each) that the candidates accumulate.
Since Gregorio Romero Calderon is the only candidate for Fool King, he only needs to get the quantity that he is lacking to reach the minimum amount of 40,000 pesos. The candidates for the crowns of Child Queen and Poetry have to earn more money, as 50,000 pesos are the amount required. The competition for these titles will be between Arantza Marcela Tirado Gonzalez and Fernanda Lizbeth Velazco Zatarain.
This will culminate in a tally in the presence of representatives from each committee and a notary public. There will be a testimonial and the results will be announced.
That afternoon will be filled with joy by the faithful supporters of each candidate and the musical group that will play. Friendliness, innocence and tradition will come together in the beauty of the 12 candidates for Carnival Queen and Queen of the Floral Games.
