La elección de las reinas del Carnaval y de los Juegos Florales siempre está acompañada por la presentación de un espectáculo musical relevante, y en su edición del 2008 continúa con la tradición de llenar de ritmo el escenario del Teatro Ángela Peralta.
Es Agustín Martínez, bailarín del Grupo Delfos, el creador de los números artísticos que se escenificarán esa noche, será un paseo a través de diferentes estilos de comedias musicales, inclinándose un poco a lo que es el baile de salón.
Él adelanta que las candidatas a reinas participarán en algunas de las puestas de baile, pero el peso artístico recaerá sobre 15 bailarines de la Escuela de Danza Contemporánea del Centro Municipal de Arte, quienes en algunos momentos serán acompañados con música en vivo a través de dos músicos tocando jazz.
"El espectáculo será algo parecido a "A chorus line" y "Chicago", aunque estaremos abarcando la música desde los años 20 hasta piezas actuales. Este año las fiestas se llaman ‘Historias lejanas’, nosotros presentaremos historias de ritmos", comparte Martínez, asegurando que el espectáculo sorprenderá a los asistentes.

At the musical show to choose the queens

The election of the queens of Carnival and the Flower Games always is accompanied by the presentation of a relevant musical show and the 2008 version continues the tradition of filling the Angela Peralta Theater with rhythm.
Agustin Martinez, a dancer of Delfos Dance Group, is the creator of the artistic numbers that will be staged that night. It will be a journey through different styles of musical comedies with a slight emphasis on ballroom dancing. Some of the candidates for queen will participate in some of the numbers, but the main artistic weight falls on 15 dancers from the Municipal Arts Center school of Contemporary Dance. They will occasionally be accompanied by the live jazz of two musicians.
“The show will be something similar to A Chorus Line and Chicago although we will be covering music from the last 20 years up to today. This year Carnival is called “Far Away Stories” and we will present stories of rhythm,” says Agustin. He assures that the show will surprise those present.
